ACCOMMODATION & FOOD
Accommodation is generally on a two or three people sharing basis. We have two enormous triple rooms in the house (for three individual guests in each) and a double room. Please let us know if you are here with a friend and wish to share a room together (otherwise we will try to find suitable roommates). If there is availability, we can accommodate a single person in the double room (at an additional rate). We take up to eight guests per retreat.
All rooms are elegant, airy and comfortable, with fabulous high ceilings, electricity and en suite bathrooms (and hot water). Of course guests are welcome to enjoy the living room of our splendid home and to roam around the estate. We have an outdoor kitchen, which guests are welcome to use at any time to make tea, coffee and snacks etc.
Meals are home-cooked local South Indian vegetarian/vegan and are made from fresh, locally sourced and home grown organic produce.
Please note:
ASHTANGA NIRVRTA is a simple ‘yoga homestay retreat’ in the tropical rainforest of the Western Ghats. Being far from the big Indian cities, it may be tricky for us to cater for those with unusual needs.
Retreat guests live and practise together in nature, in our beautiful homestay retreat. Having an open mind, good sense of humour and a warm spirit, will allow guests to embrace the joy, diversity and charm that is ‘Incredible India’.
Retreats begin on Saturdays (day of arrival) and end on Fridays (day of departure). Please arrive in the afternoon on the first day. Check out is at noon (after class and breakfast), on the final Friday.
Guests will need take complete responsibility for their belongings and welfare whilst staying with us.
